SummitBridge
The software that turns a set of modules into one training device. SummitBridge finds every Summit module on USB, connects it to X-Plane 12 and keeps the panel in sync with the sim.
Built for training, not just flying
Two-way sync
Switches, selectors and displays stay matched to X-Plane in both directions. The sim is the source of truth, so the panel never shows a state the airplane isn't in.
Every module identifies itself
Each module reports a unique device ID, its name and firmware version. SummitBridge knows exactly what's connected and where.
One behavior per module
Each panel's behavior lives in its own software module. New hardware gets new support without rewriting the core.
Real avionics power logic
Display modules (timer, autopilot, transponder, ADF) power on when the sim's avionics do, not when the PC boots.
Startup self-test
Checks the connected controls at startup and reports pass or fail before a session begins, which AC 61-136B B.3.3.2 calls for. In development.
SummitBridge Manager
A separate app to detect and test modules, update firmware, install or update the X-Plane plugin, and manage joystick profiles.
